How Do I Work?

Personal training is exactly that, personal. However, many trainers don’t offer this standard nowadays. What I truly bring to the table, is my empathetic and caring nature. I like to make my clients feel as though they are working out with a friend, simply with more structure and guidance. 

Gyms and programmes can seem daunting and overwhelming (“where do I start?, what should I do?”). These thoughts, combined with how hard it is to actually change your behaviour and routine, make PTs essential for that extra boost of motivation needed. 

I’m here to help you embrace exercise as a privilege, rather than a chore. With my knowledge and expertise, we can work towards your goals collaboratively, with reassurance and enjoyment along the way!

I focus on the importance not only of physical, but mental health, as the two are deeply interconnected. My holistic approach centres around positive wellbeing – plenty of movement, balanced nutrition, good sleep, and a strong support system.

The different types of training I offer

I have always been a lover of HIIT training (High Intensity Interval Training) - it burns high levels of fat whilst growing your muscles. It also feels fun and challenging!

I like to merge this into a circuit style workout, especially if I'm doing a joint session with two or more clients.

I often use TRX training and resistance bands to add variety and push my clients out of their comfort zone. They love the feeling of using their bodyweight against gravity to achieve a higher intensity workout.

A focus on mental health & wellbeing

The importance of well-rounded mental health, beyond fitness, cannot be denied. I am passionate about helping people adjust all key aspects of their life - such as nutrition, sleep, social networks and managing stress levels - to find a peaceful balance.

I specialised in Understanding Mental Wellbeing, along with Behaviour Change Coaching and Fitness for Over 65s.
